Summary

For the 58th year, the Myer store Christmas window display featured "Gingerbread Friends" based on the book by American children’s author, Jan Brett.

Each window retells part of the of story with animatronics and accompanying narration (both spoken and written). This window was my particular favourite as the fake food was well presented and looks good enough to eat... just check out the bread baskets!

Collectors Weekly has an interesting <a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="http://www.collectorsweekly.com/articles/losing-ourselves-in-holiday-windows/">article</a> about the origins of department stores Christmas window displays.
