Self-Portrait at the Age of 34 is a self-portrait by Rembrandt, dating to 1640 and now in the National Gallery, London. The painting is influenced by the portrait painting tradition of Raphael's Portrait of Baldassare Castiglione that is hosted in the Louvre and Titian's Portrait of Gerolamo Barbarigo in the National Gallery, possibly because he wanted place himself among the great 'Old Masters'. The artist is depicted himself at the height of his career, richly dressed and self-secure.[1]
