ČEZ Basketball Nymburk is a professional basketball team that plays in the top professional Czech basketball league, the NBL. It also competes at the VTB United League since 2011. The team is based in the town of Nymburk. The club's main sponsor is ČEZ, a Czech energy company.

History

ČEZ won the Czech Championship from 2004–2013, and has played in several European basketball competitions, including the Eurocup. Some of the club's former players include Darius Washington, former NCAA champion and NBA player George Zidek, who is the team's current press speaker, and naturalized Czech player Maurice Whitfield.

Arenas

The home court of the senior team for Czech domestic league matches is the 2,000 capacity Sportovní Centrum. The club plays its home games in European-wide competitions at the 11,650-capacity Tipsport Arena in Prague.
