Summary

Drumbo Round Tower. Standing in the churchyard of Drumbo Presbyterian Church (see <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Drumbo_Presbyterian_Church_-_geograph.org.uk_-_841376.jpg" title="File:Drumbo Presbyterian Church - geograph.org.uk - 841376.jpg">841376</a>). It is not complete, however, as the top section has been removed or destroyed. Round towers were constructed all over Ireland in the 9th - 12th centuries as belfries and monastic keeps. See <a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=2829904">2829904</a> for other examples from around Ireland (and some elsewhere in the British Isles).
