Summary
Electro-Harmonix Polyphonic Octaver Generator Octaver (sub and upper octaves + detuned upper octaves) - made popular by Jack White on 'Blue Orchid' and overused on the Stripes latest release Icky Thump. It can emulate (convincingly) a bass, a 12-string or even an organ (think Hammond B3). Replaces a Digitech Whammy WH-4, even if it's quite different as the POG 'lacks' an expression pedal - but this damn thing track chords (for ten times less the price of an Eventide Harmonizer...). Loads of fun and endless possibilities, but subtle use is recommended.
