Description: Missal upon which LBJ swore the oath of office, Nov. 22, 1963. A plate on the title page reads, "The leather cover designed and hand-tooled in genuine calfskin by Bernard A. Cassidy, 38 Roosevelt Road, Medford Mass." The missal may have been given to President Kennedy by Mr. Cassidy. A missal is a book containing prayers and biblical readings used in the celebration of the Catholic Mass.
