Programmer

Programmer is the person in a musical ensemble performs the function of controlling instruments, accessories etc. via MIDI. This control works like this:

  • In The MIDI output of a pedal, for example, is connected to the MIDI Out output of a MIDI controller keyboard;
  • The keyboard MIDI controller is connected via USB on a laptop;
  • With software, you can exchange the patches (effects) of the pedal.

A programmer example is the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_Jones_(musician)" class="extiw" title="w:Craig Jones (musician)">Craig Jones</a> of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slipknot_(band)" class="extiw" title="w:Slipknot (band)">Slipknot</a>.
