Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School (formerly Nepean High School)[1] is a selecive co-educational public secondary school in Emu Plains, New South Wales, Australia, named after Sir Evan Nepean of Saltash, England. The school is close to Emu Plains railway station.

As of 2010 student enrolment was 550 in years 7 through 12. The school's motto is "Aspire the Heights", and the school aims to grow even more, now specialising in the performing and creative arts. In August 2010 the school will begin holding auditions for all CAPA (creative and performing arts) subjects for students wanting to do these subjects in 2011.[needs update]

Animal cruelty attacks

In 2009 the school was the target of several attacks on its agricultural areas; a goat, several chickens and other animals were killed and/or mutilated.[2] The perpetrators are unknown; however, sympathy was shown from all across the region and a walk-a-thon helped raise funds to replace the animals and improve security.
