Nidamanuru is an out growth to Vijayawada in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Vijayawada (rural) mandal of Vijayawada revenue division.[1] It is a part of Vijayawada urban agglomeration, situated on National Highway 5.[2]
Etymology
Nidamanuru as a word can be construed as a Portmanteau of three Telugu words, Nida ("centre"), Manu("tree") and ooru("village"). The name Nidamanuru literally means "Village with a tree at its center".[citation needed]
Geography
The Ryve’s canal, that originates from the Krishna river[3] flows through the village[4] and is the main source of irrigation water.[5]
Transport
Nidamanuru railway station is serves the settlement with rail services.
Education
School of Planning and Architecture was established by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.[6]
