Talk:Anti-fascism (movement)

This article conflates four separate phenomena:

  1. Opposition to the rule of the Fascist Party within Italy.
  2. Opposition to the rule of National Socialist Germany and its allies during the Second World War.
  3. Cooperation with the campaign of Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin to reduce the influence of all socialist parties not controlled by him.
  4. A movement, often described by the abbreviation "Anti-Fa," composed of organizations dedicated to making protests and other public gatherings more violent than they otherwise would be

This conflation could be eliminated by replacing the article with a disambiguation page that directed readers to four separate articles, each of which dealt with one of the four phenomena referred to as "anti-Fascism." This problem could also be solved by rewriting the article in a way that clarified the differences between the four phenomena.

You are correct that it does conflate those things. That seems to be the problem with the original Wikipedia article as well. --Crew (talk) 13:42, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
