The Lower Galilee Regional Council (Hebrew: מועצה אזורית הגליל התחתון‎, Mo'atza Azorit HaGalil HaTahton) is a regional council in northern Israel that encompasses most of the settlements in the Lower Galilee. Over 9000 people live in the three kibbutzim, ten moshavim and two communal settlements located in its municipal territory.

The council building is situated in the Kadoorie regional center, in the proximity to the Kadoorie agricultural school.

The head of the council nowadays (2007) is Moti Dotan.

Tourism

During the last decade[when?] a big rise has occurred to the guest houses industry in all of the north region of Israel including this region.

Agriculture

The branches of agriculture are still the most common in the villages of the council. Mainly prevalent are flowers greenhouses, cultivation of fields, barns and chicken coops.

Industry

The council also has two industry areas which consist of different factories:

  • Lower Galilee Industry Area - in this area of laborers of factory Wissotzky Tea and the Juice factory Primor. This industry area is managed in cooperation with the municipality of Tiberias and the local council of Tur'an.
  • Lower Galilee Industries Park - This industry area is managed in cooperation with the municipality of Tiberias and the local council of Tur'an.
