St Ninian's Cathedral or the Cathedral Church of St Ninian is a cathedral of the Scottish Episcopal Church in the Royal burgh of Perth. It is the see of the Anglican Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane, who is the ordinary of the Diocese of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane.
History
The cathedral was built on the site of an older Dominican monastery and was one of the first to be built in Britain since the Reformation (Both St. Columb's in Derry and St. Paul's are older, being consecrated in 1633 and 1710 respectively), being consecrated in 1850. It was designed by the English architect William Butterfield.
