Řečany nad Labem is a village in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has around 1,350 inhabitants.

Village Labětín is administrative part of Řečany nad Labem.

Legend about village: 

Local lord wanted to buy a hunting greyhound, but he had no money for it. So he decided to replace it with a church bell. But when the bell down from the tower snapped and tumbled into the pond Houšovce, which is said to be bottomless. Bell could not be found, but one woman at the pond swept yarn. In her tangled yarn bell, but laundress it did not and just angrily cursed. The bell rang sadly: "Bells of Saint John, for greyhound given" and sank forever.
