The 2021–22 Toronto Maple Leafs season was the 105th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on November 22, 1917.[2] On April 9, 2022, the Maple Leafs clinched a playoff spot with a 3–2 win against the Montreal Canadiens.[3] With a 4–2 win over the New York Islanders on April 17, the Maple Leafs set franchise records in both wins (50) and points (106). In the playoffs, the Leafs lost in the First Round to the Tampa Bay Lightning in seven games.
