3rd World Science Fiction Convention

The 3rd World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon) was Denvention I, which was held July 4–6, 1941, at the Shirley-Savoy Hotel in Denver, USA. This was the last Worldcon before there was a break in the annual tradition due to World War II. The next Worldcon was held in 1946.[1]
The guest of honor at the third Worldcon was Robert A. Heinlein, who gave a speech entitled "The Discovery of the Future". Olon F. Wiggins served as convention chairman. Attendance was 90 members.
