Aegires is a genus of sea slugs, dorid nudibranchs, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Aegiridae.^[2] Members of the species in this genus feed exclusively on calcareous sponges.^[3] Images of the radula can be seen in these references.^[4] and ^[5]

Aegires is the type genus of the family Aegiridae.^[6]
