Akari Ogata (緒方 亜香里 Ogata Akari?, born September 24, 1990 in Uki, Kumamoto) is a female Japanese judoka.
She started karate at the age of 7 and she became national junior karate champion when she was 10, but at age 13, she quit Karate and started Judo.[1]
She won the bronze medal in the half-heavyweight (78 kg) division at the 2010 World Judo Championships.
Her favorite techniques are Uchimata, Ōuchi gari and Sankaku-jime.
