The Museum of ar-Raqqah, also known as the Ar-Raqqah Museum or Rakka Museum, was founded in 1981 on the location of a former Palace.[which?] The museum is dedicated to the preservation of the culture of the Ar-Raqqah province.[1] The museum's first floor has three sections: Ancient, Classical Vestiges and Modern Art. The second floor is dedicated to Arab and Islamic art.
