Ali is a South Indian actor who has acted in more than 1000 films in the Telugu, Tamil and Bollywood film industries. He is a regular actor in Puri Jagannadh movies. The Academy of Global Peace conferred an honorary doctorate on Ali on 25 May 2013 at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He won 2 Filmfare Awards & 2 Nandi Awards

Early life

Ali was born in a poor family in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India. His father was a tailor and his mother was a housewife. He has one brother named Khayyum, who is also an actor. He married on 23 January 1994 at Mandapeta,and has two daughters and a son (Mohd. Fathima Rameezun, Mohd Abdul Subhan & Zuveria Meethi)

Career

Ali came into the movie industry with the help of Jitu Mohan Mitra, Rajahmundry's musical company. He went to Chennai when director Bharathi Raja was looking for child actors for his movie "Seethakoka Chiluka", and was given a role. As a child Ali acted in several movies. When he was too old to be a child actor he became a comedian in Tollywood.

Director S. V. Krishna Reddy gave him comic roles in his movies, creating new roles for him. Ali developed his own style, which was popularly known as Chaata. Ali acted in Kannada movie Super (2010 Kannada film).

Ali is a brand ambassador for anti-itching medicine Manmohan Jaadoo Malaam. He became host for a talkie show called Ali Talkies in MAA TV and ATM in Gemini TV.[1]
