Angel Dust (Christina) is a fictional mutant character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Angel Dust is portrayed by Gina Carano in the 2016 feature film Deadpool.

Fictional character biography
When the scared young mutant Angel Dust ran away to join the Chicago faction of the Morlocks, she left behind her frantic parents, who had no idea where she went or why she had left.[1]
After Angel Dust and the other Morlocks swore to help each other resolve one "aboveground" issue, she returned home to tell her parents the truth, which she thought her family would turn her away forever for: that she was a mutant. To Angel Dust´s surprise, her parents accepted her for who she was, but it was only after she had helped her compatriots defeat a Sentinel base that Angel Dust finally returned home for good.[2]
She was confirmed to have lost her powers after the events of the 2005 "Decimation" storyline.[3]
Powers and abilities
Angel Dust has the ability to increase her adrenaline, gaining superhuman strength for a short time. Her strength varies from being able to lift Lua error in Module:Convert at line 1851: attempt to index local 'en_value' (a nil value). to being able to lift Lua error in Module:Convert at line 1851: attempt to index local 'en_value' (a nil value)., depending on her adrenaline levels. Her speed, agility and stamina are also enhanced. However, she can only use her powers for a short time before exhausting herself. When she uses her powers, dark lines appear on her face.[4]
In other media
Film
- Gina Carano plays the character in the 2016 feature film Deadpool.[5] However, her film incarnation is much different from her character in the comics. Instead of being a teenage superhero with natural mutant abilities, she is an adult woman and major antagonist who gained her powers through experimentation. Also unlike her incarnation in the comics, her powers do not appear to be as dependent on a temporary surge of adrenaline. The upward limits of her physical strength seem to be higher in the film version as well, as she was able to hold her own in hand-to-hand combat with Colossus. Her powers and demeanor shows much more similarities with the character "Arclight" of the group "Marauders" from "Mutant Massacre".
