Ankang Fuqiang Airport is an airport scheduled for construction in Ankang, Shaanxi province, China. It is located in the town of Fuqiang in Hanbin District, 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) northwest of city center. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2015, with an estimated total investment of 1.45 billion yuan. The airport is projected to open in 2019, when it will replace the existing Ankang Wulipu Airport.[1]
Facilities
The airport will have a 2,600-meter runway and a 5,500 square-meter terminal building. It is designed to handle 300,000 passengers per year.[1]
