Ardapy [arˈdapɨ] (German: Ardappen) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Bartoszyce, within Bartoszyce County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia.[1] It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) south-west of Bartoszyce and 53 km (33 mi) north of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area belonged to Germany as part of Landkreis Bartenstein in the Province of East Prussia. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles.
