Ayala Ingedashet (Hebrew: איילה אינגדשט‎; born August 21, 1978) is an Ethiopian singer, of Beta Israel origins. She was born in Ethiopia and lived in Israel from the age of two.[1] At the age of 14 she joined a youth band in Ashdod and in the military she was part of a Navy band.[2] Her musical influences included Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill. She was signed by Israeli record label Hed Arzi, becoming the first Ethiopian-born Israeli singer with a major-label deal. She has since achieved popularity and is performing with acts like Ehud Banai, Mosh Ben-Ari, Jill Scott, and Macy Gray.

Her debut self-titled album came out in March 2007.[1] Today she is considered to be perhaps second only to Cabra Casay amongst mainstream Ethiopian Israeli singers, having had a successful album by a major label, as well as having performed the Israeli national anthem at the opening of the 2009 Maccabiah Games.[3]
