Recipients of the Dr. B. C. Roy Award, the highest Indian award in the medical category. The award was instituted in 1976 by the Government of India under the aegis of the Medical Council of India. The award is named after Bidhan Chandra Roy, a medical doctor and a former chief minister of the Indian state of West Bengal.
