Charlie Heaton is an English actor, best known for playing Gary McCready in the series DCI Banks and Jason Waycott in Casualty.
Career
In 2015, Heaton made his acting debut with the ITV's crime drama series DCI Banks, he played the role of Gary McCready.[1] Then he appeared as Riley in the ITV's detective series Vera.[2] He also starred in the BBC One's medical drama series Casualty as Jason Waycott.[3]
Heaton has played a significant role in the psychological thriller film Shut In along with Naomi Watts and Oliver Platt.[4] The film is directed by Farren Blackburn and scheduled to be released on 19 February 2016 by EuropaCorp.[5]
Heaton is also set to play the one of the lead roles in the Netflix's supernatural drama series Stranger Things.[6][7]
In 2009, at the age of 15 Heaton became one of Yorkshire's upcoming stars of boxing after going undefeated in 6 fights. He later went on for a 7th fight but unfortunately was knocked out in the first round by Philip Ebert a.k.a the flying Hobbit, a young German superstar in the making. Heaton then hung up his gloves and concentrated on his acting career.
