Chua Sian Chin

Chua Sian Chin (simplified Chinese: 蔡善进; traditional Chinese: 蔡善進; pinyin: Cài Shàn Jìn; November 26, 1933 – February 26, 2014) was a government Minister in Singapore. He held the Ministerial portfolios of Health, Education and Home Affairs. He was 34 years of age when appointed in Health Minister in 1968, by then Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, which made him the youngest minister in Singapore.[1]
Chua was the Member of Parliament for MacPherson from the constituency's creation in 1968 until he retired in 1991 from Parliament.
In February 2014, Chua died at the age of 81 after suffering from heart failure.
