Ciolpani is a commune in the northwestern part of Ilfov county, Romania. It is composed of five villages: Ciolpani, Izvorani, Lupăria, Piscu and Ţigăneşti.
Etymology
Its name is the plural of ciolpan, a Romanian word meaning "tree stump".[2]
