Félix Charpentier de Damery

Félix Charpentier (fl. 1830–1860), also known as Félix Charpentier de Damery or simply Damery, was a French politician, journalist and man of letters.

Biography

Félix Charpentier was born in Damery, Marne. A lawyer, he was secretary of Count Peyronnet, minister of Charles X. He contributed to several newspapers including the Gazette de France, the Mémorial catholique and L'Invariable.[1] He also founded his own newspaper in Liège, L'impartial. In 1825 he was mayor of Damery.
