For 2010, based on 2007/2008 statistics, GMHS was ranked #4 in Top Schools for Hartford County by Hartford Magazine.[3] The rankings were based on combination academic and commitment data. Academic data includes CAPT, SAT, and AP test scores, graduation rate, percentage of students attending higher education, required graduation credits, and percentage of students who earned additional credits. Commitment data includes disciplinary offenses, drop out rate, hold back rate, percentage of students taking AP/College courses, percentage of students taking SATs, physical fitness achievement, and teacher absences.[4]
