x2 Centauri

x² Centauri (x² Cen), is a star located in the constellation Centaurus. x² Centauri is also known as HD 108114, and HR 4724. The star is located at Right Ascension 12h 25 m 21.8 sec and Declination -35 deg 11 sec 11 arcsec.

x² Centauri is a B9III Giant star with an effective temperature of 11,000 Kelvin. It has an apparent visual magnitude of +5.73, and an absolute visual magnitude of +0.159. It is located 129 parsecs, (420 light years) from the sun and has a mass of 4 solar masses. x² Centauri is an irregular variable star.
