The Inverness Cup is a football competition for teams around Inverness in the Scottish Highlands.[1] Originally, it was just for the four Inverness based teams, Caledonian, Citadel, Clachnacuddin and Thistle, but has since become an invitational tournament in order to increase the number of teams competing. In recent years, interest in the competition has waned somewhat, with competition from the Highland League Cup and North of Scotland Cup along with fixture congestion for the larger teams.
