Jay Cooke House (also known as Cooke Castle) was the summer home of Jay Cooke, a financial magnate involved in financing the Union during the American Civil War, and whose failure caused the Panic of 1873. The house is located at Put-in-Bay, Ohio on Gibraltar Island, Ohio.
It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1966.[2][3]
