Jay Watson (born 27 May 1990) is an Australian multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter. He is best known as a member of the psychedelic rock bands Tame Impala and Pond. Watson also records solo material under the name GUM.[1]

Music

Under the Gum moniker, Watson's management company, Spinning Top, announced in December 2013 that the debut album, Delorean Highway, will be released in early 2014. On 30 May 2014, Delorean Highway was released digitally in Australia. An LP format of the debut became available for pre-order on 500 copies on Spinning Top Music's website in late June. The album is promoted as a collection of "paranoid pop songs" that are "mostly about falling in love and all of the things that he thinks are going to kill him [Watson]."[2] A second album, Glamorous Damage, was announced in September 2015[3] and was released on November 13, 2015.[4]
