Joe Irvin

Joe Irvin is the Chief Executive of Living Streets the UK charity that campaigns for pedestrians.[1] He was formerly CEO of the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action.[2]

He was previously a British Labour Party politician who was a political advisor to Gordon Brown during his term as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.[3] He has in the past worked as special advisor to Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott, as well as for the Transport and General Workers' Union,[4] BAA[5] and the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds).[6]

Personal life

He is married to Diana Holland, Assistant General Secretary of Unite trade union and Treasurer of the Labour Party.
