John Graham Bell

John Graham Bell (July 12, 1812 – October 1899) was an American taxidermist and collector. He traveled with John James Audubon[1] up the Missouri River in 1843.[citation needed] He also taught taxidermy to Theodore Roosevelt.[1]
Bell's sparrow (Artemisiospiza belli) and Bell's vireo (Vireo bellii) are named after him.[2]
Bell lived in Tappan, New York, where he is buried.[1]
