Kisoro Airport (IATA: n/a, ICAO: n/a) is an airport in Uganda. It is one of the 46 airports in the country.[2]
Location
Kisoro Airport is located in extreme southwestern Uganda, approximately 343 kilometres (213 mi) by air southwest of Entebbe International Airport, the country's largest civilian and military airport.[3]
Overview
Kisoro Airport is a small civilian airport that serves the town of Kisoro and nearby Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Stituated at 6,200 feet (1,900 m) above sea level, the airport has a single paved runway, measuring 1,200 metres (3,937 ft) in length and 30 metres (98 ft) in width.[1] It is one of the twelve upcountry airports that are administered by the Civil Aviation Authority of Uganda.[citation needed]
