Lawalong
Lua error in Module:Infobox at line 235: malformed pattern (missing ']'). Lawalong(Hindi: लावालौंग) (also spelled Lawalaung) is a community development block that forms an administrative division in Simaria subdivision of Chatra district, Jharkhand state, India. It is located 35 km from Chatra.
Geography

Demographics
As per 2011 Census of India Lawalaung CD Block had a total population of 50,553, all of which were rural. There were 25,651 males and 24,502 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 28,926 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 2,690.[3]
Magahi, Nagpuri, Khortha, Hindi and Urdu are languages spoken in the region.[4]
Literacy
As per 2011 census the total number of literates in Lawalaung CD Block was 19,550 out of which 12,001 were males and 7,549 were females.[3]
Economy
- Market: A small market called as Lawalong Bazar is situated in middle of the block.
