A Lebanese Venezuelan is a Venezuelan citizen of Lebanese origin or descent. There is around 341,000[1] to 500,000 people of Lebanese ancestry.[2] Venezuela has one of the largest Lebanese populations in the Americas.
Migration history
Lebanese immigration to Venezuela started as early as the 19th and 20th centuries. They are present in significant numbers in Caracas.
This immigration has influence Venezuelan culture, in particular Lebanese food and music.
In religion, the majority of Lebanese-Venezuelans are Christians who belong to the Maronite Church, Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox and Melkite Catholic. A scant number are Muslims.
