Henrikh Mkhitaryan is the record goalscorer for the Armenia national football team, with 16 in 52 matches since his debut in 2007. He became the top scorer in the nation's history after scoring his 12th goal in a 1–3 defeat to Italy in a World Cup qualifier on 15 October 2013. This surpassed the 11 scored for the nation by Artur Petrosyan.[1]
