- Hiyodori ( Imperial Japanese Navy): World War II: The motor torpedo boat was torpedoed and sunk in the South China Sea or Sulu Sea by USS Gunnel ( United States Navy) sometime between 21 October and 28 December.[2]
- S13 Kriegsmarine: World War II: the E-boat sunk in the British Channel.[3]
- Sagi ( Imperial Japanese Navy): World War II: The torpedo boat was torpedoed and sunk in the South China Sea or Sulu Sea by USS Gunnel ( United States Navy) sometime between 21 October and 28 December.[2]
- Shoei Maru ( Japan): World War II: The cargo ship was torpedoed and sunk in the South China Sea west of Luzon, Philippines by USS Paddle and USS Hammerhead (both United States Navy) sometime between 25 November and 18 January 1945.[4]
- Shunten Maru ( Japan): World War II: The cargo liner was torpedoed and sunk in the South China Sea or Sulu Sea by USS Gunnel ( United States Navy) sometime between 21 October and 28 December.[2]
- Strasbourg ( Kriegsmarine): World War II: The barracks ship was scuttled at Lorient, France.
- U-743 ( Kriegsmarine): World War II: The Type VIIC submarine sank in the Atlantic Ocean north of Ireland (Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found.) in September or October 1944 whilst on patrol with the loss of all 50 crew. Cause unknown.[5]
- No.21 ( Imperial Japanese Navy): World War II: The coastal defence vessel was torpedoed and sunk in the Luzon Strait by USS Seahorse ( United States Navy) sometime between 19 July and 18 October.[6]
