The London Bridge Hospital is a private hospital on the south bank of the River Thames in London.

History

The hospital opened in 1986 following redevelopment of Chamberlain's Wharf. Architects Llewelyn Davies Weeks, Consulting Engineers Oscar Faber, Main Contractor Bovis Construction. It belongs along with several other well known private London hospitals, to HCA International, the largest private operator of health care facilities in the world.[1][2]

In 2006, it expanded its outpatients operations into the adjacent building, St Olaf House - the first art deco building in the UK. [3]

London Bridge Hospital has additional outpatient satellite sites across London and the South East of England including:

  • 31 Old Broad Street
  • 120 Old Broad Street
  • City of London Medical Centre
  • Docklands Healthcare
  • Sevenoaks Medical Centre

On the 25th January 2016, the majority of outpatient services moved from The London Bridge Hospital into the UK's largest outpatient centre in The Shard.
