Lowest common divisor
From Infogalactic: the planetary knowledge core
The lowest common divisor is a meaningless term, often mistakenly usen when one actually wishes to refer to either
- the least common multiple of a set of numbers, or in particular, the lowest common denominator of a set of vulgar fractions.
- the greatest common divisor, which is the largest integer that divides all the numbers in a set of integers.
