Luo River (Chinese: 洛河; pinyin: Luò Hé) is a tributary of the Wei River. It flows through the Loess Plateau and has a length of about 680 kilometres (420 mi). The area between the Luo and the Yellow River was called "Hexi" (literally "west of the Yellow River") and was fought over by Qin (state) and Wei (state).
