Maaemo is a Norwegian Restaurant located in Schweigaardsgate in Oslo, Norway. In March 2012 it was awarded two stars in the Michelin Guide, and in February 2016 it was awarded three stars. It was the first time a Nordic restaurant has been awarded two stars in its first mention in the guide.[1] Maaemo focuses on local food and only uses organic, biodynamic, or wild produce. The kitchen is run by Danish head chef Esben Holmboe Bang.
In June 2015, Maaemo was voted 64th best restaurant in the world at The World's 50 Best Restaurants awards. [2]
