Around the movie
Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. The movie is based on the book Kayalvizhi written by Akilan[10]
The dialogues are signed by the filmmaker and the friend of MGR, Pa.Neelakandhan.
For the realization, MGR (It was the third and last for him) is helped by another friend, director K.Shankar.
It was the last movie of MGR in his lifetime, in his film career.
Then he became a full-time politician after this movie.
(When this movie went out, MGR was already chief minister for approximately seven months).
Huge question of why S.A.Asogan and S.V.Ramdass weren't given a part in this movie.
Usually MGR pictures always included all MGR's team no matter what.
Except for one instance where N.S.Nadarajan[11] (also Seerani Natarajan) wasn't included in ULAGUM SUTRUM VALIBAN, another MGR Pictures, for other problems.
But something to think about.
When this movie was in production, they both had already accepted the roles in 'VELUM MAYILUM THUNAI' (released on 23 March 1979) in which they acted next to M.R.Radha who was "considered" MGR's hidden enemy #1.
So you be the judge . . .
Usually the order had been M.N.Nambhiyar, S.A.Asogan, R.S.Manogar, S.V.Ramdass, K.Kannan[12] with N.S.Nadarajan[13]
But if it would have been MGR pictures the whole team was in it.
