Matt Carmichael (born July 7, 1977) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender.

During his professional career which spanned over 12 seasons, Carmichael played primarily in the Central Hockey League (CHL) and the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) where he was named the 2005–06 SPHL Player of the Year after leading the league with a 2.75 GAA and a 91.9 save percentage to finish the season with 23–11–2 record. He was also selected the CHL Goalie of the Year, All-Star, and Championship Series MVP in 2003–04 with the Huntsville Channel Cats, and was named second-team All-SPHL in the 2006–07 season when he went 26–19–3 with a 3.40 goals-against average and a 90.3 save percentage.
