Michael Costello (born January 20, 1983) is an American fashion designer from Sherman Oaks, California, and he lives in Palm Springs, California.

Early life and career

Michael Costello is of Romani background.[2] He was raised in Palm Springs, California.[3] He studied at Will Rogers High School from Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA (1998-1999). He was on the eight season of Project Runway. He finished in fourth place out of the 17 contestants on the show. His clothing line was presented at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and Los Angeles Fashion Week.[4][5] Celebrities including Beyoncé, Kesha, Lady Gaga, Caitlyn Jenner, Rita Ora, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Carmen Electra, have worn his apparel.[6][7][8] He along with his sister Stephanie Costello (who designs the Stello line) designed dresses for Kim Kardashian's wedding party.[9] He custom-made Beyoncé's dress when she arrived at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, where the Los Angeles Times said that she "stole the fashion show".[10] Caitlyn Jenner wore one of his dresses for the trailer of her TV show I Am Cait.[11][12][13] Costello is well-known for his long, beautiful mermaid dresses. He appeared on Good Day L.A..[14]
