Model English High School (M.E.H.S.) is the one of the oldest school in Kalyan city. It runs under The East Kalyan Welfare Society. The school has good alumni and a great record.The medium of instruction is English. The school houses classes from Kindergarten i.e. K.G. to class Ten. In Early 2000 the school have further moved on to Model Jr. College for Science and Commerce

History
Model English High School was established in 1977, under the board of East Kalyan Welfare Society. School has a motto "God Is Our Strength". It was founded by Late Gopinathan Nair and few other individuals who joined together for this noble cause. Mr. N.S.Vishwanathan was one of the pioneers in bringing up this school.
The school was started in a small place and occupied the top floors of a residential building and as it grew the School shifted to a new place of its own.
The trust now has a separate building which houses the Secondary College.
