Moesa District, often referred to as Moesano, is an administrative district in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. It has an area of 496.11 km2 (191.55 sq mi) corresponding to the Val Mesolcina, the valley of the eponymous Moesa River.
It has a population of 8,338 (as of 31 December 2014).[1] The official language is Italian.
It consists of three Kreise (circles) and seventeen municipalities:

Mergers and name changes
On 1 January 2015 the former municipalities of Arvigo, Braggio, Selma and Cauco merged to form the new municipality of Calanca.[2]
