Dorm Life
Molloy offers two dormsitories that house over 250 students. In the fall of 2011, Fitzgerald Hall opened to offer students housing. Dorming was a huge demand among students so in the fall of 2014, a second dormitory opened named Maria Regina. Both dorms are co-ed but the halls and wings are separated by gender. The students living on campus have a choice of three different meal plans and also the school provides daily shuttle service to local places such as dining, shopping, or the train. The residents are also offered free laundry and printing. Maria Regina has its own gym in the basement as well as a common room with a pool table, ping pong table, TV, and couches. Fitzgerald Hall offers a lounge area with a TV, couches, and various games. Each dorm has computers and printers.[15]
The Madison Theatre
The Madison Theatre at Molloy College opened in the late fall of 2011. The 550-seat theatre hosts a variety of world-class performers from the world of theatre, music, dance, cabaret, comedy and more. Molloy’s November 12, 2011 Gala Event opened the theatre and was written by Alan Zweibel. Madison Theatre’s Artistic Director is Angelo Fraboni, a Broadway performer who has produced and managed a range of Off-Broadway productions and tours.[16]
Athletics
The athletic program is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division II. The teams are known as the Lions. The College has 17 athletic teams: seven men's (soccer, basketball, lacrosse, cross-country, baseball, indoor track & field, and outdoor track and field) and ten women's (softball, lacrosse, soccer, basketball, tennis, bowling, indoor track and field, outdoor track and field, and cross-country) with women's rugby slated to become a varsity sport in 2016-17.
